High precesion current measurement for device under test for IoT battery life and power budgeting

Having power rails available that are software configurable for voltage to energize the device under test, and use the probes to track event occurrences (ie system wakes, a PA energizes, transceiver switches channels, transceiver performs CCA, transceiver transmits, crypt-operation starts/finishes, etc) so that prototypes can be vetted for hardware longevity and firmware implementations and modifications can be validated to meet battery life requirements.

    The EEMBC EnergyMonitor http://www.eembc.org/ulpbench/about.php seems to be the better fit for this task. Or use an MSP430/MSP432 micro where the debugger contains the same energy monitoring hardware.
