The Decoded Protocols area should have more information.

There could be a column showing which analyzer the information came from. Or perhaps the rows could be color-coded to the analyzer. There is plenty of room, so how about adding alternate decodings? For example, when an Async Serial analyzer is set to hex mode, an ASCII character could also be shown when appropriate.

Hi agree - the decoded protocol search system needs a lot of improvements. The version in the software now was originally considered an early proof of concept - just a starting point - but then unfortunately, did not get the attention it needed after that. This got tied up in the same mess several other features did. You can read about it here: http://blog.saleae.com/real-time-view-and-other-delays/

The good news is that we're in the process of hiring more software developers now, which will make a big difference in our ability to improve the software.

Color coding would be excellent. As an alternative, perhaps a per-decoder configurable prefix or suffix so each line could start with, for example, "RX:" or "TX:" or "FOOBAR_RX:". I suppose another column with decoder name would work well.
