Abilty to change individual trace color

A user should be able to change the color of each trace individually or as a group (ctrl + mouse)

If you go into Options -> Preferences, you can select "Use color for digital trace".

This makes the color for each channel unique, but there is no way to customize the colors used. I completely agree with this idea though, and we are currently evaluating features like this to be added to a new software UI refresh that we are working on.

I agree. Our monkey brains are very sensitive to color, so it would be nice to be able to set more important signals as distinct, or to group by bus, etc.

    I agree.

I use it to monitor interrupts and behaviour of three CPUs that communicate with each other by setting a couple dedicated GPIO pins depending on what happens. So I would like each CPU (=the channels connected to that CPU) to have its own color, so I easily can see what trace is for what CPU, even though I order them per function.

(like CPU1 RX busy, CPU2 RX busy, CPU3 RX busy, CPU1 TX busy, CPU2 TX busy, CPU3 TX busy, CPU1 timer IRQ, CPU2 timer IRQ, CPU3 timer IRQ)
